Missed pickup alert
"Bus left pickup location. Student is missed pickup."
In short
Missed pickup is an alert The School Bus Tracker sends to families when the bus leaves the child's pickup stop without the child having been picked up. It says: "Bus left pickup location. Student is missed pickup." Families can turn it on or off for each child.
When it is sent
When the bus leaves the child's pickup stop without the child having been picked up.
Why it matters
A family finds out straight away that their child is not on the bus, rather than when the school rings, or does not.
Good to know
If the child was not riding that day, marking it in advance under Not riding means they are not booked on the bus, and no missed pickup is expected.
How it reaches the family
On the parent app, in the browser for families who use the website, or by email for a family the system cannot reach on a device. Each alert can be turned on or off on the child's Alerts and absences screen, under What we send you.
