School bus app for parents
Everything a family needs about the school run, on the app or on the web, without ringing anybody.
In short
The parent app in The School Bus Tracker shows a family where their child's school bus is, when their child boarded and was dropped off, and anything the school has sent them. It is available as an app and on the website, which can be added to a phone's home screen and send notifications like an app.
What families can do
- Follow the bus live, as a list of stops or on a map
- Get boarding, drop-off and arrival notifications
- Tell the school when their child is not riding
- Move their child to another stop on the same bus
- Read notices and reports from the school, and report a problem
- See and manage the other guardians who look after their children
On any phone
Families can use the app, or sign in on the website and add it to their home screen. The website opens with the last thing it knew rather than a blank screen on a weak connection, refreshes with a pull, says plainly when it cannot reach the internet, and stops checking for updates when the phone is in a pocket.
Private by design
A family only ever sees their own children. Adding or removing a child, or changing their details, is done by the school, so a child cannot be added to the wrong family from a phone.
