Readiness checks and reports
See today's runs, who rode, and anything that would stop a bus before the morning starts.
In short
The School Bus Tracker tells a school, before the morning, whether every bus can run, and names exactly what is stopping one that cannot: a timetable with no driver, a child with no time on today's run, a balance about to run out. During the day it flags a bus that should have left and has not, and afterwards it reports on every run.
Before the morning
- A readiness checklist of what is left before buses can run
- One answer to why a school's buses are not running today
- Children who are mapped to a bus but have no time on today's run
- A warning when a timetable cannot put a bus on the road
During the day
A bus whose driver has not pressed start by the time the run should have begun is flagged, because without a run there is no tracking and no notifications for the families on it.
Afterwards
Reports cover the school's runs and riders, and an activity log records who changed what, including changes made by an administrator on the school's behalf.
Questions about readiness checks and reports
How does a school know its setup is complete?
The readiness screen lists what is still missing, in order, and links to the screen that fixes each item.
