Bus distance alerts
Parents choose how close the bus should be before they are told it is coming.
In short
In The School Bus Tracker, a parent can set a distance, and they are told when their child's bus comes within it. They leave the house at the right moment instead of waiting at the stop, whatever the traffic is doing.
Set once, told every morning
The setting is on the child's Alerts and absences screen: Tell me when the bus is within a distance the family chooses. Leaving it empty means they are not told by distance, and the other alerts carry on.
Better than a fixed time
A bus held up in traffic still arrives at the same distance from the stop, so a distance alert stays right on the mornings a fixed reminder would be wrong.
Questions about bus distance alerts
Can each parent choose their own distance?
Yes. The setting belongs to the family, for each child.
