The driver signs in, sees today's runs, starts one with a single button, and is taken stop by stop, with the next stop, its distance and its planned time always on screen. The bus's location is shared only while a run is under way, and only the run's own driver can start or end it.

Safe by design
Only the driver assigned to a run can start it or end it, so a run cannot be started by the wrong phone. Location is shared only between start and end. Buses can also record an attendant, the second adult on board, so a school knows who was on every bus.
